So I've pretty much been staying away during the weekdays. I've learned that I can't get much done here.
But today, I thought I'd take a chance. At 11:30 the saw began in the garage downstairs and at noon Jim was, again, dumping paint in the front yard. The saw is still going as I write this. Looks like I'll have to find somewhere else to work...

I used to be a tenant of Jim Khorge's, I left about a year and a half ago. Like all of his tenants, I (and my housemates) and major problems with him and have documented a handful of instances where he's broken the law. As you no doubt already know, he's incredibly slimy and really tricky.
One thing I wish I would've done while I was his tenant was to organize a class-action law suit with his other tenants. It never occurred to me until long after I left (I wanted to sue him for a number of things but my housemates didn't want to deal with it and I didn't have the steam to go it alone). But if you organize collectively with his other tenants, you might actually get some results.
My downstairs neighbor in my old place has lived there for many many many years and actually successfully prevented Jim from evicting him and his family during the dot-com boom (apparently there was even a documentary made about the struggle - 'boom! the sound of gentrification', i think). Anyway, you might consider getting ahold of him. I'd rather not post his contact info on here, but if you're interested, let me know and i can get you the pertinent info. I imagine he would be interested in pursuing this, or would at least be open to helping you out in one way or another.
