Both today and yesterday I was hoping to work from home but power saws were running all day right below my room. No notice, no warning, no attempt at all to let me know that my day would be disrupted.
Also, I just saw the comment made on the last post. Look like I'm not the only one that's had problems with this landlord. I'd love for any other tenants that have had troubles with this guy to post or comment on here and tell us a little bit about the troubles you had.

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for sharing this. I was a prospective tenant of a unit at 868 Shotwell and I was wary of Jim Khorge's shadiness because of this blog and because of articles about the evictions at 868 Shotwell in 2002, but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Within 5 seconds of talking to him he antagonized me more than anyone has in a very long time. Because my boyfriend and I didn't want to move in until July 15 -- we'd just put in our notice -- he accused me in an *extremely* bullying manner of wanting a month's free rent! this is after we *each* paid his tenant who showed us the place $30 "application fees" and it was implied that some arrangement come be made about our move-in date. My sympathies about your landlord -- I hope you can find a better place and his shady ways make it impossible for him to find any new tenants.
wow. that guy really sucks. i wanna punch him all the way from Utah
What are the current living conditions at 934 Shotwell?
I'm considering moving in but this blog is giving me second thoughts, and I'd appreciate if a current tenant would contact me with their opinion of the house. Thanks!
